Gay politician Barney Frank comes out as an atheist

Barney Frank, the openly gay politician recently came out as an atheist.  LGBT atheists are a rarity to come across. Some may assume that most LGBT people are atheists which is not true.  LGBT atheists are a minority.  LGBT atheists of color are even more of a minority in our world.  I hope Barney will be effective in talking about issues that are of concern to LGBT atheists in the U.S.  They need healthy role models.  Barney Frank's remarks about Trevon Martin's murder was entirely unnecessary if not somewhat racist.  I don't think he is a racist but it did sound that way even if it was unintentional.  It is nice to see some LGBT who have embraced a more non-religious way of life who also are not afraid to criticize and condemn religiously-inspired homophobia, biphobia and transphobic or anti-sexual attitudes.  Hopefully we will see more of this in the future.
